my story

Sweet treats have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Getting home from school and walking through the door, to be greeted by the smell of 40 freshly baked cookies, an apple cake, banana bread and a tray of brownies (our Mum never did things by halves). These are the memories that started me on my journey to what The Brownie Maid is today.

After leaving school, I pursued my baking passion by completing my NVQ 2 & 3 in Professional Cookery and Patisserie. This then led me to work in several kitchens, eventually leaving to have my little boy. Brownies have always been a bit of a soft spot in our household, and when my little man was 9 months old, I decided it was time to share my Brownies with the world. And with some help from my little sister, The Brownie Maid was born!

After over 10 years, a global pandemic and a few bumps in the road along the way, The Brownie Maid is still going strong. Baking Brownies by hand in my little Cornish kitchen, just like our Mum used to.
